Prague, December 2001. 2K development, one of Europe leading mobile software development company provides mobile database management system for the Nokia Communicator 9210/9290.

Data Plus provides enhanced functionality embedded in an easy to use user interface. You store all different tables, which you would like to handle in one place.

Using Database management systems on mobile devices with small screens it is essential to have an excellent functionality to define the different view. Data Plus is using a special view manager, which allows to define nearly everything and makes it extremely simple for the user to sort, view and search for entries.

Card and List view are also individually configurable as filter and sort function. You can define customised views to have fast access to the information you need.
The comfortable search functionality allows an intuitive search process in all or selected fields, as well as search for exact string or Substring

"At the moment Data Plus is released in a Beta Version free for customer use,", Michal Herstus, CEO of 2K development, pointed out, " because we want to give the users a possibility to start working with our DBMS earlier than we release it , which will happen End of January."

The final release of Data Plus, including Data Plus Desktop for databases management on PC and synchronisation, will be in English and German at around 40-50 Euro.

Data Plus is powerful, but easy to use, database management system for Nokia 9200 communicator. You can store and manage any kind of database like data using Data Plus when you are �in the field�, outside the office. CRM records about your customers, large price lists, oustanding invoices, company assets on on side or list of your music CDs, favorite night clubs adresses, spot match results or whatever you need for both of your bussiness and private life. And good message is that you don�t need to be computer expert to create and maintain the database in Data Plus, it is simple and straightforward.

Everything on one place The Data Plus file represents the �database� which can contain more �tables� and each table contain set of same �records�. And finally, the record store the information in relevant fields (for example Name, Street, ZIP, City etc., if we are talking about table containing address). Data Plus allow to create more than one table in the database file, so you can keep logically related information on one place (for example customer database and list of outstanding invoices). More to this, Data Plus keep is so called �Master table� extended table attributes � table content description (or note to table), category (you can categorise table to the groups according content, for example), etc.

Easy to view and manage your data

The premium goal of Data Plus is to allow to user quickly and comfortable find the information he wants and display it in most appropriate form, according user needs. Certainly also easy entering and managing of records is important.

Card and list view

Data Plus offer two forms of displaying the records � the list view showing more records in one tine in the spreadsheet like grid or the card containing just one record on full screen. Both of these types of views are fully equivalent � you can perform exactly the same operations in them: edit, add, delete records, sort, filter, search them, as you need.

Powerful filters

If you want to display just subset of record which fit some condition or combination of conditions, Data Plus offer you filters � easy way ho to do it.

Design customised views

Unique feature of Data Plus is the possibility to define your own list views. User can setup which columns (e.g. which record fields) are visible in the view, in which order, their width, apply the sorting order and/or filter. View manager allow to save these attributes under given name and later restore them just by choosing the view name from the list. If you have database of invoiced, you can easy switch among displaying of received invoices, sent invoices, outstanding invoices and in each mode see just the fields you need, record sorted as necessary � without repeating the same setup again and again. Do it just once and the use it!

"Adjust view� mode allow you to setup columns in view in comfortable, interactive and fully graphical tool:

Simple choose the column by arrow keys, then move it, change its width, hide the column or show it again� No complicated dialogs, you do the changes directly in the displayed table.

Manage records

Additionally to ususal functionality like Add, Edit or Delete record, which you may find in all kind of databases, Data Plus contain one less common, but useful command: Copy record. This speed usp the entering of records very much, because it happen quite often, that the new record is different from existing in one or two, three fields only, the rest is the same. So, you can �copy� the record and then edit only the some fields.

Comfortable searching

If you want to find some value in any field of the table, just start to write down it on the keyboard. The search dialog appears automatically� Then you can specify the search conditions more precisely, if you want (which field you want to search in, how to compare text fields). Data Plus allow you to search in any kind of field, not only in text fields, as usual in most of products.

Design the database table

The structure of table record is fully in users hands and more to this: table design can be changed even at the time, when the table already contain data! The is wide list of field types available: text, real and integer number, date, time, logical (yes/no), choice list, unique identifier and memo (suitable for or longer notes or so). Various attributes, like lower and upper limit for number fields, can be specified.

Flexible data exchange with PC applications

Data Plus offer powerful mechanism of export and import popular desktop dBase (DBF) which is acceptable for most of databases and spreadsheets on PC computers.
