RingMaster beta 1.22 is now available from the Zenobyte website. It fixes some problems with opening large samples.

Generate complexes calculations with a formula field which allow users to create some mathematics combinaisons with existing numeric fields.
Import/Export
Import datas from CSV (comma delimited) files or from DBASE III,IV et V or from FoxPro.
Merge datas from other SmallBase databases. Export datas to CSV (comma delimited) files or to HTML files. High encryption level !
SmallBase integrate 256-bit encryption engine from Peter Csutora`s Encrypt-it! to protect your databases from un-wanted readers. Files are protected with a simple password.
Linking feature
Link items each others easily without having to define complicated joint between tables. Each kind of datas may be linked each others into the same table or between different tables. Selecting an item changes SmallBase mode and displays only items linked to the selected one all over tables.
Define your own applications
SmallBase can manage time and date relative filters and Colors. Users can define filters and colors appliable on date and date/time field types depending on the current date and/or time. SmallBase offers a refresh automation feature, which allows automatic updates of display without having to reopen or manually refresh the tables.
SmallBase lets users open more than one table at the same table.

Epocware release PowerData for 9200
|
Epocware have released PowerData. Power Data is an easy-to-use and high performance database management system (DBMS) for the Nokia 9210/9290 Communicator. Power Data allows you to capture, store and retrieve information about similar items. The lack of a Data (from the Psion) type program on the 9210 has been a mjor complaint. This is an excellent substitute.
Below is an explanation of the program together with some screenshots from the Epocware website. The program demo can be downloaded from the Epocware website. The program is Shareware and costs $19 to register.
Power Data allows you to have multiple tables in a single database.

There are two different ways for viewing the records of a table:
Cards view. There are two panels in this view. The left panel (Browser) shows a list of the records. The right panel (Card) shows the fields of the current record. You can switch between these two panels by pressing the Change focus or the Tab buttons.

List view. This view presents a grid in which each record represents a row and the fields are shown in the columns. Multiple records can be shown simultaneously.

Power Data offers you a wide range of powerful tools for managing databases like finding, sorting, and filtering records.


Power Data supports import from and export to CSV and dBase (DBF) files.

Plan6 Version 1.0 Released for Nokia 9200
|
Twiddlebit software have released the final version of their award winning project management software for the Nokia 9210. Plan6 is Microsoft project Compatiable, and allows you to plan projects using all the elements associated with PC software.
The updates in this version include German language support and some big fixes.

Plan6 is a major new version of the Twiddlebit Plan product range. Initially Plan6 will be available for the newly released Nokia 9210. Users of Psion devices should use Plan5 (for the Series 5, Revo,...) or Plan (for the Series 3,...).
Plan6 was recently awarded 3rd prize in the Nokia Mobile Challenge contest.
