New PC Suite for 9210 Available from Forum Nokia
|
Forum Nokia have updated their webpage to show that a new version (1.20) of PC Suite is now available. In addition the Administrator suite (version 1.03), Administrator suite (version 1.03), Upgrade software (version 1.03) and AT commands have been updated.
I don't yet know what's new in this release, but if you download and try it out - let us know in the forum...

New Firmware for the Nokia 9210: 4.13
|
The new firmware for the Nokia 9210, version 4.13, has been becoming available over the last few weeks, and now appears to be widely available. You should contact your Nokia Service Centre to see whether it is available in your country. There is also a software update to go with the new firmware.
What exactly is in the new firmware seems toremain a bit of a mystery. However support for answer phone software should now be present. The rumoured MMS (multimedia messaging) is not in the new firmware. Perhaps it will be made available by download from Forum Nokia - you'll read it here if it does!

New software is also available to go with the new firmware, but currently only for the MMC apps and not for the internal memory programs programs. (Read more about this in the forum). Thew new software is available via Forum Nokia here: http://www.forum.nokia.com/main/download_software_9210_2.html. Remember this software should only be used if you have 4.13 (check this by entering *#0000# into the phone side of the Communicator).

PsiNT release Betas of MMP and Extended Internet for 9200
|
PsiNT, developers of Task manager and other 9210 software, have released two new betas. The first is an updated beta of their MMP Program. Multimedia Player which plays WAV, MP3 and SND files in a player like program.
New is Extended Internet which allows connection to the internet using RAS (via a PC), GRPS (via another phone), and Landline (via an external modem). Should save on some phone bills...
PsiNT Descriptions:
Extended Internet implements Internet connection in N9210 via GPRS (using external, GPRS- enabled phone via Infrared), via external landline modem or via RAS.
All you have to do is to create a new Internet Access Point using Extended Internet's applet in Control Panel. Just choose your desired type of connection (GPRS, Landline modem, RAS), give your connection a name and save it. That's all! Now place your GPRS phone close to N9210's IR port or connect your landline modem.
For the GPRS connection all settings have to be made in GPRS phone (APN name etc). For landline connection one has to enter all settings (phone number, login, password etc) in N9210 Internet Access settings.
Now you can enjoy Internet connections charged by the amount of transferred data (GPRS) or at low landline rates (external landline modem).
Multi Media Player is an application which can play wide range of formats including wide range of Wavs and mp3. It has fully customizable playlist, sampler, equalizer and in further versions will have Mp3 -> Wav converter. User will be able to play, pause and stop, start playing from any point, equalize, set volume. Mp3 converter will have the option to set many frequencies and formats of output so it will be easy to balance quality and memory use.

Epocware update Code Vault for 9200 to 2.1

New Software Coming Soon from Digital Red
|
Digital Red, the 9210 developer from China has announced that its 3D lesiure game Fisherman is now in testing and will be available in the next few days. In addition screenshots of two forthcoming program are available. These are 'Monoply' and Lines.
About Magic Line:

1.24F Ringmaster Now Available for 9200
|
Ringmaster the ringtone and WAV editor for the 9210 has now been updated. The new version supports the saving of compressed samples, changing of the format of saved samples and support fot an undo option in Sample view.

RingMaster is currently available for the Nokia 9200 series communicators. It allows you to create and edit ring tones and samples. The full version can be purchased from Nokia Software Market for �20, and a restricted demo version is available for download

New versions of Smallbase and Power Data for 9200
|
Two of the the three leading database applications for the 9210 have now been updated. SmallBase is updated to version 2.6 and now supports user variables and alarams. Power Data is updated to version 1.5 and now supports reports which are a powerful tool for analyzing your data.
Updates for SmallBase:
- Create and set easily your own variables and put them into filters or colors clauses like : r2>%total% AND r3=%today% !
- No limitation with variables (just memory)
- AND,OR and LIKE keywords supported in Filters and Colors Clauses
- Set ALARMS on records ! SmallBase will wake up your device and warn you with sound !
