Astronix - from SymbianWare Review by
Ewan
Well, I'm over my initial disappointment. After SymbianWare had hyped Astronix over their website and our forum for weeks, I was really looking forward to a good Asteroids clone on the 9210. Didn't get it. What I did get was a top notch conversion of another arcade classic - Qix.
It's also the closest ANY pocket computer has got to replicating "Jezzball" on the move, but seeing as that's a Microsoft product, nobody is going to believe me when I say it's more addictive that Nestle's Caramac bars. Let's just say your next adrenaln fix is coming from Astronix, okay?
This program seems a lot smoother and more immersive than previous SymbianWare stuff. It looks good, and is a match for any of the Pocket PC Qix style games out there. It also benefits a lot from the 'widescreen' 9210. Who needs an iPaq? (ehrm, I do so I can flog it and get a P800? -Rafe)
Every 9210 needs to have a look at the demo of this. It looks, sounds and feel Truly Scrumptious (tm Ian Fleming -Rafe), and is as close to arcade nirvana on ER6 as I think we're gonna get.
Still waiting on Asteroids, though.
Astronix can be bought from the Handago website.
