Here are some extra screenshots that I have created. These were
made after the main screenshot collection and include web in operation,
the hand writing recognition and help system. These were features
that were easier to take screenshots of using the debug version
of the emulator.
 |
Web in Operation:
Something strangely familiar about the the web page being
shown... Demonstrates how well the new browser works. I had
to select load all images from the 'Web' menu before the images
were loaded. |

|
 |
Web zoomed out:
There are three zoom settings low, medium and high. This
is on the low zoom setting. Although the test is not readable
it does show how the browser working well and gives a general
feel for the page. |

 |
Help System:
The help system is largely incomplete (see the shot below),
but it does show some interesting entries such as synchronization,
backing up, blue tooth, phone etc. |
| |
|
 |
Help System 2:
Notice how things are left blank, these are likely to be
filled in by the manufacturer. Looks like it's going to be Symbian
Connect now. The sncyronisation allows agenda, contacts and
e-mail to be synchronized with the desktop. |

 |
Handwriting:
It looks like you can write anywhere on the screen. The
black arrow shows text input is possible. The Text Input system
used in CIC Jot Pro. This is the same that is used on PPC's
and is also available from the Palm. However the Symbian version
seems to be even better at recognising your handwriting. |

 |
Handwriting 2:
If you are interested you can see the character set used
in the following images. Notice how some characters allow
the pen to be taken of the page e.g. for 't'.
Files: 1 (a-t),
2 (u-z), 3
(punctuation), 4
(numbers), 5
and 6 (addition
punctuation / characters).
Please note that this is not a complete list and is
not from the Symbian version. I found these on the web and
they refer to the PPC version.
