The Communicator Software directory contains a listing of all software available for Symbian Communicators. Current machine included in the directory are the Nokia 9210 and Nokia 9290. This page is a glossary of terms used in the directory. If you do not understand something you may find the answer here if not contact me and I will add it.

Freeware: Freeware means the software is free to use. There may restriction on distribution and the author retains ownership of the software.

Shareware: Shareware is a 'try before you buy' concept whereby you can download a version of the software which may have some restriction (e.g. save disabled, functions missing and or time limits). You should buy shareware if you continue to use it.

Commercial: Is software that you buy before using. Generally more expensive.

Opensource: Like freeware, but with differences. See each program for individual details. Usually source is distributed.
